Terms of use

Agreement

These terms govern the JERP website, the free REST API, and the MCP connector (together, the “service”). By loading the site, clicking Try Free, completing Sign in from an MCP host, or calling the API, you agree to them. If you use JERP for an organization, you confirm you are allowed to bind that organization. Last updated .

The service

JERP returns machine-readable judgments and search results over homepage cards and our homepage index. Tools include find, keep, fit, compare, rerank, judge, and discover, as described in the docs. Output includes scores and confidence. It is assistive software for marketing research — not a human editorial decision, not a credit, legal, or safety certification, and not a live web crawl of any URL you invent.

Free tier and keys

Access is a public jerp_ key, issued without an account from Try Free in a browser on this site, valid for one hour from issue. Combined API and MCP calls on that key are capped at 100, at most one call per second. Judgment calls accept at most 24 site cards. New keys are rate-limited per IP. Scripts and other origins cannot mint a key (POST /api/v1/key returns 403). Current numbers live on the homepage limits section and may change as we operate the free tier.

Keys are bearer secrets. Anyone who has the key can spend its quota. Do not commit keys to public repos, paste them in group chats, or share them as a team password. When a key expires, request another. We may refuse issue when limits are hit (HTTP 429) or revoke keys that look automated or abusive.

MCP and OAuth

Custom connectors (for example Claude) may send you to our Sign in page. Paste the public key from Try Free, then Allow access — that key is returned to the host via OAuth. You are responsible for what that host stores and how long it retries. Localhost MCP URLs are not reachable from Claude’s servers; you must use a public HTTPS origin ending in /mcp.

Acceptable use

You may use JERP to score and search homepage lists for marketing, research, and agent workflows. You may not:

  • bypass, scrape around, or load-test rate limits without our written okay;
  • resell the raw API as a competing public endpoint, or hide JERP while presenting scores as solely your model’s work in a way that misleads customers about independent verification (you may use scores inside your own product if you stay inside these caps and this acceptable use);
  • send malware, exploit attempts, or content we are not allowed to process;
  • use JERP to target or deanonymize private individuals, or to build spam and harassment lists;
  • interfere with other users’ keys or the integrity of the index.

We may throttle, block IPs, or shut off the free tier for abuse, legal risk, or operational load.

Your content and our output

You represent that you have the right to send the domains and text you submit. Scores are generated from that input, open index data, heuristics, and model evaluators. You keep your inputs; we keep the right to operate, debug, and secure the service, including using aggregate, de-identified traffic patterns to keep quality and caps honest.

Outputs can be wrong. Confidence is not a guarantee. You must verify high-stakes lists (legal, medical, credit, employment, safety) with a human and primary sources. See methodology.

Intellectual property

The JERP name, site, docs, and software we publish are owned by JERP Team or our licensors. These terms do not transfer that IP. You may not copy the product UI or docs wholesale as your own product. Open-source components retain their licenses.

Third-party hosts and models

Claude, Cursor, ChatGPT, and other agents are separate products. Their terms apply to chat, billing, and how they store MCP tokens. Model providers we call to produce judgments have their own terms. We are not those companies.

Availability

The free tier is provided as-is, as-available, without uptime SLA. We may change tools, caps, models, and URLs. Material changes to these terms will be reflected on this page with a new Updated date. Continued use after that date is acceptance of the new terms.

Disclaimers and liability

To the fullest extent allowed by law, the service is provided without warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We are not liable for lost profits, lost data, or indirect damages arising from scores, downtime, or key expiry. Our total liability for the free tier is limited to zero USD, because you pay us nothing on this tier. Some places do not allow these limits; there they apply only as far as local law allows.

You will not use JERP where it would violate export rules, sanctions, or other law that applies to you.
